Dr Ong Seng Fook (Certified PSMB Trainer) has research and lecturing experience in the fields of Research Method, Strategic Management and Marketing since 1998 at Master’s and PhD levels both in Malaysia and overseas.
Currently, he is the Dean at the Faculty of Accountancy and Management, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and has led and participated in a number of important consultancy projects funded by Malaysian and foreign governments, international bodies and private sectors such as e-local government readiness study on all town councils in Malaysia, e-government and ICT adoption among SME in Malaysia. In addition, his research and consultancy interests also include critical strategic thrusts that affect national competitiveness such as human capacity, strategic thinking, higher education sector and e-government. He is also an expert in Malaysian private higher education and tourism. One of his research projects is to investigate the strategic management practices and the impacts on performance dimensions for the private higher education sector. Some of his projects include developing a tourism Blueprint for the Malaysian government. He is currently involved in Mukah Science Park planning project as Marketing and Branding specialist.
He enjoys presenting working papers to government, academic and practitioner audiences at both international and national conferences. Besides, he has also been appointed as a trainer, external examiner, visiting academic, rapporteur, presenter, observer, panellist or expert in major conferences/forums organised by government agencies, universities and conference organisers in Malaysia and overseas.
