Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fakhrul Anwar Zainol currently served as Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship, Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Terengganu, and Secretary-General of Cambridge Association of Malaysian Entrepreneurial Advisers (CAME) as well as Business Management & Accountancy faculty’s member.
He has a Degree in Accountancy (B. Acc) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) and completed his Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
He received his formal organizational entrepreneurship training/coaching from Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, UK and MAUS Institute, Sydney, Australia. His area of expertise / research includes entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial orientation, business strategies, family business and poverty eradication.
He is a professional business coach for small business owners and managers, helping them grow and develop their enterprises. He coaches in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, retail sales, healthcare, services and manufacturing related services. He has practiced in functional areas such as sales, marketing, and operations. His focus with business owners has been to facilitate creating their business vision and the development of strategies to fulfill that vision. He had years of experiences in development banking with Bank Pembangunan & Infrastruktur Malaysia and SME Bank Bhd before become an academician. His duties included marketing, evaluation project viabilities, supervising project implementation, undertaking loan collection and credit control and rehabilitating problem projects. Besides that, he also involved in entrepreneurial training carried out by the organization to channel knowledge in various aspects of business aimed at developing viable and competitive Bumiputera entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs particularly in SMEs.
